Traveling to a spanish country is not a option. But what is the best course or courses combination to help me reach proficiency? (And yes i will be able to get my conversing in with natives ... im asking for actual courses like between tell me more, rocket spanish, synergy spanish, rosetta stone, instant immersion, ect ect....whats the best one to help me become TOTALLY fluent?

Wondering because it happens in vice versa.

I'm applying online to Best Buy right now. It asks if I speak any other languages. I have taken 2 years of Spanish and can communicate fairly well ( I understand it better than speaking), but should I put that on my application? Will it help me get the job? And if it does will I be thrown out to help every Spanish speaking person?

my mother and I speak Spanish ever so often, but no enough, plus she speaks a very slangy version of it because of her origin in Mexico. So does anyone have any idea on how I can continue my Spanish speaking ability while learning proper Spanish?

I took spanish for 3 years in middle school but I only rmember ola and hasta luega and stuff. Whats a good way to learn Spanish really fast and I mean conversations and no just words!!!

There are a lot of cognates in the ways the consonants and vowels are pronounced but I do not mean these two languages are similar because they're not. Spanish isn't Japanese and Japanese isn't Spanish. They're totally unrelated and have different spelling and grammar rules but the vowels only make the non-difference. So if I can speak Japanese and learn to speak Spanish with a Japanese accent, will I still be heard? And when I say heard, I mean understood.

I never heard of Belize before I got this new job. I work with a lot of Belizeans, Panamanians, and people from the Caribbean. When I looked up Belize, it said it was an English speaking country but my co workers(3 of them) are from Belize, and they speak Spanish with the rest of the Spanish speaking people at my job. Granted, they sound Jamaican when they speak English but I never knew they spoke Spanish. Please explain how, or why?..LOL
