which australian/ international universities are good to study at for latin american studies / spanish double major
is this a good double major?
i also am interested in african studies but i think latin american studies major fits well with spanish major

Yes, I think this is a good double major. In LAS, you will most certainly deal with texts that are written in Spanish, so it will be useful.
I cannot find any Australian university for you, I’m afraid, but the Australian National University has a Centre for Latin American Studies. I could not find any Spanish major, either.
I have found five universities in Canada (McGill, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Toronto) where you can do that, and a whopping 180 in the US (excuse me if I cannot name them all). The help I used for these results was http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/
In the UK, there are a few which might be of special interest:
- University of Liverpool: Hispanic studies (Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, Latin American Studies) (www.liv.ac.uk), also other combinations
- London Metropolitan University: American Studies and Spanish & Latin American Studies; also Business and Spanish and LAS; also a BA in Spanish and LAS alone (www.londonmet.ac.uk)
- Newcastle University: Spanish and LAS (www.ncl.ac.uk)
- Portsmouth University, also Spanish and LAS (www.port.ac.uk)
- Same in Southampton ( http://www.southampton.ac.uk)
