Spanish in Latin America and Spanish in Spain – learn it all
I was wondering what the major differences were between the Spanish spoken in Spain and that of Latin America, because I noticed that many language learning programs have serparate versions for each.

The ones from Spain sound as if they’ve got a speech defect…a lisp…thththththth.
They say grathias for gracias, Jimineth for Jiminez and Barthelona for Barcelona.
well you see in Spain they use something more like the educated and correct form of Spanish. And in Latin America it’s more slang. For example Mexico. If you learned Spanish (from Spain) they would teach you vosotros, but in Mexico nobody actually uses that. Also in different regions they talk in different ways. For example in live in California, in a little town just at the border with Mexico. And when I go to Mexicali (the city that you enter when you cross the border) its full of mixed words. They get English words and use them while speaking spanish. Like if they want to say something like "park your car there" instead of saying "estaciona" which is the correct way of saying it they would probably say "parkea". Don’t ask me why they use it because i know its weird. And then if you learn spanish from spain and you come to mexico you would probably not understand many words they use. Like in the US……"dude" or "what’s up" or "cool" if you went to england and used the american english they would have a complicated time understanding you. So I guess you should pick the language program for the region that you would go to (if you’re traveling in the future). Hope it helps.
