I'm half-Mexican and I can't speak any spanish.?
I look white, my last name is Garcia, I still have brown hair and eyes, but I can't speak any Spanish. I never or ever talk to my father only my american white mother . Am I still part of the minority even if I don't know my roots?
I'm going to college for Spanish, so, I can find out the hard way of familiarizing myself with the education!

You’d still be considered "Hispanic" by US Census definition because even though you don’t speak Spanish you still have Latin American roots.
Socially however you can easily pass off as white and that’s what you’ll be seen as.
if you look white and you have citizen status then dont worry. so technically no youre not really part of the minority
besides you dont HAVE to know your roots unless you WANT to. feel free to be yourself and not what others expect you to be. im saying this cause sure enough youre gonna get crap for not knowing spanish
yes
You are making this more complicated than it really is. Yes, you are still part Mexican. So what if you don’t speak Spanish. Do you seriously believe that being able to speak Spanish or not determines who you are? If you don’t know your roots, then simply research your heritage if you want. Learn to speak the language if you like. But that isn’t a factor that determines your heritage. You are still part Mexican regardless.
