I'd just rather use the Spanish words but just used normally, I don't wanna develop the accent unless it comes to me can i just pronounce the words correctly?

I live in California and will be starting work at a hospital. There are many people who speak Spanish and are from Mexico, I speak Spanish, but I find this accent to be the hardest to understand. I am looking to travel in Latin America to improve my understanding of the different Spanish accents so I can assist those who speak at the hospital where I work.
Whenever I hear that accent (Castillian I think it's called), I can't help but think that the Spanish are fruitbags. They sound queer, don't they? Whereas, Mexican Spanish sounds masculine and it's often evenly paced. Do Mexicans think lowly of the Spanish because of their gay accent? And do you think it's justifiable to say that Spanish no longer belongs to the Spanish if it sounds so corrupt and wacky like how they pronounce it?
I'm Mexican and I'm learning Italian. I just wanna know if our accent sounds bad or good when we speak Italian.
Thanks!
One would think that central americans don't look drastically different from Mexicans, and speak spanish...only in a different accent which could be faked. But I found out how Mexicans determine probable cause to check immigration status:
They take the person aside, and ask them to sing the Mexican national anthem. If you can't sing it perfectly, they ask for your papers. Should we try the same thing here?
It's pronounced "by-sah"...and here's the definition of it in Urban Dictionary:
1. bisa
a Mexican with a hard accent who just came from Mexico and lives in America as if they were still in Mexico, can be used to insult a Mexican
I don't think it's spelled "bisa" though. Any help, thanks.
I'm a cashier at a store where a large majority of Spanish speaking individuals shop. I have this huge urge to say certain things in Spanish such as, "Gracias", "Lo Siento", "Hola" but it may come off as ignorance or arrogance. ESPECIALLY, if I just judge that person by their physical characteristics and accent without actually HEARING them speak Spanish.
I am 75% mexican although I consider myself full...My mother is half mexican an half white she does not speak spanish (That's the reason why) My dad's family all speaks spanish (I don't live with him) And my grandma (Mom's side) Speaks spanish...But I have a white accent but I can understand some words..My boyfriend speaks Spanish and so does his family. None of them really speak english good except his brother and sisters and himself. I really wanna learn so I can speak with my other family members and his family...Spanish seems very hard for me I feel stupid when I try to speak it. Please help?? I don't have very much money...so what can help me?
My email is Angelcindy96@yahoo.com if you wanna contact me (:
I'm Hispanic and white so don't think I’m being racist. I just don't get how some Latin American people talk with a heavy accent and they don't even speak Spanish. Is this some kind of trend? I know plenty of people like this. I don't know maybe I don't do this because my dad is not Mexican he is from Guatemala and I guess the way they sound is different i.e. like USA English to United Kingdom English
When traveling in Mexico, I smile when I meet a Mexican National with perfect non-accented English. In contrast, I still meet American-born Hispanics with heavy Spanish accents. Someone told me that learning English at an early age (even as a second language) breaks that accent carryover. Is that true?
I want to be able to speak Spanish well and be able to hold a conversation and understand the other person. Is there anything online that is free in which I can learn this. I like writing songs and I rap and I want to have a verse in Spanish. My accent is pretty good when I do speak it, I just have horrible memory I want it to come to me naturally to me. ( No Jokes please)
Does one set of speakers look down on the other, or view one version of the language to be inferior? Also, is there much communication between the two (I've heard South American TV shows are becoming increasingly popular in Spain, is the converse true)? Would a native of Spain think less of a non-native Spanish speaker if they chose to learn the Latin American version of the language? And finally, are there any problems between understanding each other (or is it merely a different accent, like US/UK English)?
Sorry for all the questions!
Sorry, by "non-native Spanish speakers" I meant to say "non-Spanish speakers"
people speak? Do you notice that the other has a heavy accent?
that is just stupid
its like saying that american english is a slang to englands english
the only diference is the accent
why do people say that?
Hey so I'm learning Spanish right now and obviously it's Latin American Spanish, but I really love the accent from Spain. Can someone tell me the major differences between the two and some phrases/words that are used in Spain but not in Latin America? Gracias.
I am half Filipino and half Puerto Rican and was raised in the US. Both my parents speak Spanish fluently and I understand it. I however, don't speak Spanish I don't have much of an accent when I speak. Whenever someone that speaks Spanish finds out that I don't speak Spanish fluently they look disgusted. Like now I'm not Puerto Rican enough. Anyone have the same experience?
Every Israeli I've met has a near-perfect accent when trying to speak Spanish. Why is that? Is Hebrew at all similar in pronunciation?
I'm totally white but I can speak spanish better than anyone (except the mexicans) in my high school spanish class, but my teacher teaches mexican spanish, so my accent is horribly mexican sounding (and american too of course). I want to sound like I'm from Spain or Argentina.
