Could someone please send me links of spanish or latin american future architecture. I need to build, draw, or make these buildings in my spanish class. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
I am going to buy the Rosetta stone and it have two types of Spanish; Spanish in Latin american and Spanish in Spain. So which one will be better to buy.And also whats the difference between Spanish in Latin american or Spain
I was looking at Rosetta Stone an they only have Spanish from Spain and Latin American and i have Family and friends who speak spanish from mexico
After i finish Italian, i would like to learn another language, out of interest and because it would look good on my resume. I now speak Dutch, German, English, French, Latin and Italian and i'd like to learn Spanish next. But they gave 2 options, European or Latin-American.
What are the big differences? Are they real big? Will i be able to understand the one if i speak the other and will other people? Which would you choose and why?
Sorry i forgot to say i know Japanese too. But i'm really not interested in Chinese or Arab. As i said i also learn languages out of interest, for the cultures and books and really, for me, Europe's renaissance and that literature are my interest. I learned Japanese when i still did martial arts such as jui-jitsu.
I bought the Muzzy Spanish learning set and was VERY dissapointed. My kids liked watching it, but I didn't like the story line at all!! Has anyone else watched it and thought the same thing? I don't want my 3 and 4 yo to learn how to say "I hate him!" or "I hate work!" in Spanish. I don't even want them to learn to say that in English! And what's with the whole thing with Corvax kidnaping Silvia"s baby to raise her up to mary him? Anyone else find that disturbing? The only part I did like was the vocabulary builder. That was pretty cool!
My kids didn't like the games on the cd-rom at all, and they usually love playing computer games.
Is there anyone out there who has used something they loved and would pass it on? I would like it to be Latin American if possible. Thanks so much!!!!
Please translate these phrases into spanish. Must be fluent and/or a resident of one of those countries. You DON'T have to translate all of them. No american spanish 3 students or crap like that. 10 points for proper answer (i'm not completely spanish illiterate so don't put stupid cuss words and stuff like that. (Latin American/Mexican Spanish only) Any other quotes in spanish (w/ english translation would be nice too. Thanks!!
"Am I boring to talk to?"
"Is it wrong for something good to happen in my life?"
"I would tell her that I love her, but I'm afraid she wouldn't feel the same way..."
"Life isn't worth living if you live it by yourself"
"Sometimes it seems that people don't take relationships as serious as I do..."
"In a mad world only the mad are sane, so why would I care what you think?"
Since Samantha decided to go off in a Spanish rant (actually I can pick out about half the words you're saying, including the cussing), I will clarify. This is not for hw and this is not for my gf. This is for one of my friends whose gf just broke up with him and died in a car accident yesterday. That's why I was so strict about the rules and crap. Happy now?
Which is better to learn? Or are they the same, I have a Michel Thomas' Spanish book I think its in Castellano/Castilian. And Rosetta Stone's Latin American Español.
Castilian or español?
I don't know if they're the same
Or Can Castilian speakers be understood if they're speaking to Español speakers and vice versa?
I have the choice to learn between Spanish (Spanish) and Spanish (Latin American). What is the difference between the two languages? I know that Latin American means the southern countries in South America (e.g. Argentina, Brazil) but whats the diference between the LANGUAGES.
Thanks.
Anybody of Spanish, Hispanic, Latin American Decent it doesnt matter if you speak spanish or not but
does if offend you, make you angry, or do you find it funny when people of other races try to speak spanish to you? How do you feel when they try to speak spanish to you?
Am learning beginner's Spanish of Latin American. We learned today that vostos is not used the formal ustedes is always used. But so does that mean that tu is not used as well? Does that mean tu is basically redundant and unnecassary in Latin America?? Like would you even call mother or father usted instead of tu???
I'm Hispanic and white so don't think I’m being racist. I just don't get how some Latin American people talk with a heavy accent and they don't even speak Spanish. Is this some kind of trend? I know plenty of people like this. I don't know maybe I don't do this because my dad is not Mexican he is from Guatemala and I guess the way they sound is different i.e. like USA English to United Kingdom English
Rosetta Stone offers two different types of spanish, spain and latin american. Want to know which one I should learn?
I am in high school and i am doing a 5 minute presentation on something spanish or latin american next week. i can also choose to bring a spanish cake or something like that. does anyone have any suggestions?
p.s. so far there has been one on the argentine military dictatorship
Hi Everyone,
I need a reliable English to Spanish (preferably Latin American) online translator. This is not for school... I have several co-workers from South America whom I would like to be able to communicate with better. LOL dispatch is a bit rough when there are language barriers. Thanks for your help in advance!
Many people say that the difference between the 2 types is the same as the difference between US and UK English, yet if, for example, you compare the Spain Yahoo Answers page, with a Latin American one, Mexico, for example, it's clear to see, even if you don't speak any Spanish that things have been reworded and many different words are used. While there seems to be no difference in wording between the US and UK sites.
So is the gap wider than people make out?
It can be a country, a person, a type of music or food...anything as long as it somehow relates to something Spanish/Latin American
thanks everyone!
Hello,
I am searching for a method(s) to learn Spanish (Latin-American). I have become very interested in the language and culture.
The majority of web sites I have visited are not very thorough or do not offer an extensive amount of material.
I have recently become aquainted with several Hispanic people at my place of employment. I would love to have the ability to converse with them in their native language.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you....
In what year did Spanish colonies in Latin American become independent nations?

How would you best classify the varieties or styles of speaking Spanish In the Western Hemisphere, i.e., would it be Caribbean (or would you separate by specific countries like PR and DR/RD, Central American, Latin American. Would you distinguish the Spanish spoken by Argentinians separately? Distinguish the way Mexicans speak Spanish from other countries in Latin America?
I would like to learn the Spanish/ Castilian of Buenos Aires, Argentina, although, for many reasons, the Spanish of Mexico would be good to learn, too.
I have a language kit that purports to be of a "latin american dialect", but as this seems to cover such a vast territory, I have no idea what this means. Please advise & thank you.
Also, I have another similar, albiet slightly different, question going at the same time.

I am from Australia and am planning a trip to Mexico and South America in a few years. I am wanting to learn a language but am unsure if Spanish or Latin American would be more beneficial. Any suggestions

I am an native Spanish Speaker (Spain). I was wondering why every thing says "Latin American" or "European (Spain)" .... Is there that much of a difference?
The only thing I know as a difference is my middle name. Ciro. I'd say "THEE-ro" and I heard in Latin America it would be pronounced "SEE-ro"
does anyone know the difference between Castillian Spanish and Latin American
I am looking for a comprehensive pocket Spanish dictionary covering Latin American (at the minimum) for travel to Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras. Oxford? Collins? Larousse? American Heritage?
