Why can't some mexicans speak english?

Ok I'm not trying to diss on mexicans I'm just wanting your opinion. (I have a lot of mexican friends so I'm not racists or anything) At my work there are always people who can't speak english and it bugs me so bad! They are always wanting special privlages cuz they don't know our language. Like when I'm taking their order, they want someone else to take it, I really hate that. I just think that if you are going to live in another country, you should learn the lanuage first. What do you guys say?

I like this girl but she doesn't speak English so how to quickly learn Spanish?

So theirs this girl who rides the same bus as me going to school and back and lives right around the corner and she is really pretty but the only thing is she doesn't speak English and i don't speak Spanish (though im taking classes i don't know much of it). Some Mexican friends of mine offered to translate but i wouldn't want to have someone translate for me for god knows how long so what would be the fastest way to learn a lot of Spanish?

Do Mexicans speak slower Spanish?

I have different Latino friends, and they said how Mexican Spanish is more "proper" since it sounds slower. Cindy, one of my Mexican friends, said that Mexican Spanish is similar to the way British people speak English (since it sounds more proper) than American English...if that's makes any sense. My Puerto Rican friend Julisa and my Dominican friend Gisella said how Dominican and Puerto Rican Spanish are spoken a lot faster with more slang. Is that true?

I am an old rancher on the Mexican border. My family has ranched here since 1908. I've been looking at some of these answers. 99% of these people don't have any idea what they are talking about.

These mexicans have changed. 50 years ago, they were all good people and I liked them. They lived with us and taught me spanish and many good ways and customs. They and us depended on each other and I made good friends with many of them. They worked hard and never stole from us. All of my good old mexican friends are dead now. I miss them.

Now, they are bad. I wouldn't give a nickel to any of them now. I don't know what happened. They are mean and bad. About 10 to 15 years ago they started stealing from us and got mean and don't want to be friendly any more.

Do you really know the new immigrants?
