Michel Thomas - Spanish
Pimsluer - Spanish
I dont mind paying the money as i realy wanto learn so yer
The reason I said Mexican Spanish specifically is because I know people usually use torta/tarta but I heard a Chilean refer to a pie just as "pie" and it makes me think Mexicans most likely do too.
How do you say purse in mexican spanish?
A lot of us mexicans are descendants of spanish creoles that were born in Mexico since the 1600's and 1700's. Father Hidalgo is a Spanish Creole who united the mexicans indians, spanish born mexicans and mulattos(mestizos) to form our country of Mexico and all are categorized as Mexican (Spanish Creole, Mestizos, Indians, and recent europeans, blacks or asian immigrants).
People in these yahoo posts argue as to what were suppose to look like. They watch the telenovelas and ask why are there only white mexicans?? There are dark mexican actors like Paty Monterola, Angelica Rivera, Fernando Calunga and more. But they are good looking and they overlook them.
I don't like it when people argue as to what are we suppose to look like and make stereotypes. I find myself having to explain what we are suppose to look like.

There is a Mexican girl in my class and we got into an argument about variants of the Spanish language. She says that Mexican Spanish isn't Spanish and that if a Mexican goes to Spain that the Spaniard and the Mexican won't understand each other. I understand that pronunciation is a little bit different, and I also know that Mexican Spanish has indigenous pre-Spanish Mexican words added to it, but I know it's not a completely different language.
Hello everybody!
I ask you because I know in other countries they learn spanish spanish.
Well, I know spanish is the language more studied in USA, after english of course! but I don't know if you learn spanish Spanish or spanish Mexican, in Mexico, we learn American English, because is the closest and important. I know may be Mexican spanish is not so important but:
Do you learn Mexican spanish?

Whenever I hear that accent (Castillian I think it's called), I can't help but think that the Spanish are fruitbags. They sound queer, don't they? Whereas, Mexican Spanish sounds masculine and it's often evenly paced. Do Mexicans think lowly of the Spanish because of their gay accent? And do you think it's justifiable to say that Spanish no longer belongs to the Spanish if it sounds so corrupt and wacky like how they pronounce it?
Does "¿Qué pasó?" only belong to Mexican Spanish. In Mexican Spanish, "¿Qué pasó?" means "What have you been up to ? " when greeting someone
What about Spaniards, Argentine , Costa Rica? They say something else instead of "¿Qué pasó?"True or False?
I am just wondering, in USa, do they teach mexican spanish? or castellano???
My great grandfather was part Mexican/Spanish and my great grandmother was Portuguese/ Mexican. And I don't know how much Spanish and Portuguese I have in my blood. Can you help me answer this question, please? Oh, yea I don't know much about my father, except that he was from El Salvador.
Is there another way to say real quick/right away in mexican spanish besides rapido and veloz?
Whenever I hear Lionel Messi talk, I cannot understand him. I speak Mexican Spanish and I can, at times, pick up some words and phrases. However, I don't know if it's because Catalan sounds similar to Spanish or if he IS actually speaking Spanish.

Please translate these phrases into spanish. Must be fluent and/or a resident of one of those countries. You DON'T have to translate all of them. No american spanish 3 students or crap like that. 10 points for proper answer (i'm not completely spanish illiterate so don't put stupid cuss words and stuff like that. (Latin American/Mexican Spanish only) Any other quotes in spanish (w/ english translation would be nice too. Thanks!!
"Am I boring to talk to?"
"Is it wrong for something good to happen in my life?"
"I would tell her that I love her, but I'm afraid she wouldn't feel the same way..."
"Life isn't worth living if you live it by yourself"
"Sometimes it seems that people don't take relationships as serious as I do..."
"In a mad world only the mad are sane, so why would I care what you think?"
Since Samantha decided to go off in a Spanish rant (actually I can pick out about half the words you're saying, including the cussing), I will clarify. This is not for hw and this is not for my gf. This is for one of my friends whose gf just broke up with him and died in a car accident yesterday. That's why I was so strict about the rules and crap. Happy now?
I was wondering what are the main differences between all the Spanish accents.
I am trying to learn Mexican Spanish...but what is the differences between Mexican Spanish (Español mexicano), Latin American Spanish (Español latinoamericano), and European Spanish (Español europeo)?

I have heard people say "Orale esse" in Mexican Spanish. What is that mean? Thanks!:)
1. How many major dialects are there in Mexican Spanish?
2. Is there such thing as "Standard Mexican" or "Neutral Mexican accent"? If there is, which area(estado) speaks the neutral/general Spanish?
3. Is Mexican accent totally different from Guatemalan accent(Mexico's neighbor) and Cuban accent?
Do you think this is Mexican Spanish?

I have different Latino friends, and they said how Mexican Spanish is more "proper" since it sounds slower. Cindy, one of my Mexican friends, said that Mexican Spanish is similar to the way British people speak English (since it sounds more proper) than American English...if that's makes any sense. My Puerto Rican friend Julisa and my Dominican friend Gisella said how Dominican and Puerto Rican Spanish are spoken a lot faster with more slang. Is that true?
Remember the past, plan for the future, but live for today, because yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come.
In mexican spanish only please.
mucho gracias
Im learning spanish and have spanish friends. But as a European Ive never met any Mexican people. From Mexican spanish Ive heard on tv and songs I find Mexican Spanish to be a lot clearer and easier to understand. Spanish pronounce their V's like B's while Mexicans pronounce their V's like us. Mexicans have different slang like gringo and esse but what other differences are there?

I'm beginning to think my friends made it up. Please help, this word is plaguing me.
I don't mean to be offensive by saying Mexican Spanish. It's just that my Columbian, Puerto Rican, Peruvian, and Spanish friends have never heard the word, but it was explained to me as a word used in Mexico. Different countries have different dialects, ya know. I am doing my best to be culturally sensitive, not offensive...so relajate dyani
I really need some help in my Spanish. Is anyone willing to consistently help me? (Mexican Spanish) I am trying to graduate and am now 20years old! I can't get passed this Spanish!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!
