Why are national TV channels like NBC, CBS & FOX showing mexican-languaged commercials on primetime?
I've noticed that more and more spanish or mexican languaged commercials are shown on primetime...Are we Americans really expected to speak and understand spanish/mexican now? Is this our new national language?

I don’t think the tv ads are trying to make a political statement. They just want a bigger customer base. The television stations are getting paid big bucks to run these ads for these companies. These companies are all about profit and expanding customer base.
YES BlTCH!
Aye que tonto! eres un pendejo!
Many people are complaining about this and I don’t blame them. English may not be our official language but it is the language of our laws and the one this country was founded upon. Let there be spanish stations but if NBC etc. continue to show these, I will deliberately stop watching them all together.
When in doubt, blame economics. There is a large population of Spanish speakers and that is where the money is. It is not about political statements or indoctrination, it’s about the Benjamins. Don’t be alarmed, the world won’t end if more ads feature brown people sitting at the dinner table or trying to sell you auto insurance. We are all different and the media is trying to capitalize by portraying diversity and as an added bonus, you might even learn a few Spanish words or phrases : )
