I work one mile from the border in San Diego and a lot of my co-workers live in Mexico, but they are US citizens so they can legally cross and work here as well as take advantage of scholarships and such just as any US citizen can. They just happen to live in Mexico because it is much cheaper to live there. Also some of them are married to Mexican citizens who can't cross the border so they have to live there.

it might be ignorance, apparwntly you think that only anglo-americans are americans. Read a little and learned that mexicans were in Texas and California before anglo americans, the border crossed them...they didn't cross the border. There are americans that are not anglo, I beliive that over 30 million hispanic americans. Some people chose to live in Mexico and cross every morning to work in hte US. Ifyou were from a border town, you would know it. Also border cities depend heavily on mexican people buying their products, again, if you were from a border town you would know it.
Go to states like Louisiana and see what discrimination is if you are not from there.
Illegal people can not get scholarships or dental and medical care like someone wrote here. If you go and try to get free health care and dental care you can not get, try it. They will review your background, income, etc. etc. It is extremely ignorant to think that because you are illegal they will not review your personal data.
I do not why people complain so much when the same illegals clean our crap and put the food that we eat on our table. If you dont like it you should complain about the corporations that hire the illegal aliens. They are the ones with the power, not the guy cleaning our gutters!! They even go an d recruit in Mexico.

Reverse Discrimination is fun, isn't it?

Just accept it, you live in a zone where illegals are going to be, and since you are in america...reverse discrimination is rampant.

Yes, it is illegal. Most of the immegrants that are coming over to Texas will work for any wage and do any job. I read a story once that Mexican immegrants will work for pennies on the dollar. Basically they ride the system. They work here without paying taxes, they get medical and dental care and scholarships. It is not fair. Write to your congressman. There are ways to stop immegration but it takes more than just a few people.

For the most part your numbers are way off, its about 10,000 Mexicans (legal and not) entering El Paso just to go to school (at tax payers expense , of course) and about 25,000-30,000, entering to come to work (legally and illegally) The reason so many come illegally is that they have legal documents to enter (Local Border Crossing card) and the "claim" to come to shop or do business, but they come to work and take their kids to school here, and it needs to stop. Its very frustrating, but they are coming and the numbers are growing.
