Well what people don’t remember is how much American Culture is Spanish-Mexican. Or African-Muslim for that fact. Its a lack of decent history classes. The fact is that ITS A SMALL WORLD and we are all influenced by each other. New Yorkers are a breed of there own. Give them time the sun will mellow them out. If not the Santa Anna’s will blow them away!
economics
They don’t have Taco Bell in New Yolk!
Because we can fool
They don’t hate the culture they do not like illegals!
Last time I checked California was part of the United States. People from New York are free to live there. It’s the illegal aliens who need to be moved out of the state.
The Mexicans have a tendency to ruin things look at Mexico. The New Yorkers are from the same country as the Californians the Mexicans should get out not the New Yorkers.
Becuase we live here. This is (was) our counrty
They may like the weather. They may like the terrain.
And it is quite easy to understand really–if they wanted to immerse themself in the Mexican-Spanish culture….then they would move to Mexico.
But they didn’t–they moved to California which is a state in the USofA.
When one moves within the USofA, it is reasonable to expect to continue to hear English on the TV and radio!
They can live wherever they want.
And PS – as someone who lives in one of the most diverst cities in California and goes to a school that is majority Latino, I can honestly say that I and many of my friends and family LOVE the mixed cultures in California! [BTW I'm white]
A lot of people move to california because it is beautiful with a lot of job opportunities.
Several reasons, job transfers, better climate. Not everything revolves around Spanish speakers. Americans have the right to live anywhere in the country they desire. Regardless of an influx of illegal Mexicans.
Being that they are coming from New York I would have to say weather. I was in New York during the winter a couple of years ago, I would be headed for warmer climes myself if I were a New Yorker BUT New York also has tons of people moving there so I guess its all in personal preferences, personally I like the warmer weather so I will stay put….. I do think New York is great in the summer however.
CA is part of the United States. Your question is what makes no sense. I don’t love CA anymore because it is rapidly becoming much like Mexico…will I leave? Maybe, maybe not. Do I have to tolerate this decline…only temporarily because once again, this is the U.S., not Mexico and if Mexicans don’t like the way CA is…too bad, they will not render a permanent change. They can go back home if they can’t accept CA as it is. I am home, I don’t need to "go" anywhere.
They are just jealous at Mexicans because they are a minority in Aztlan
California is an American state, that means any American can move there if they so choose.Of course, it also means that the illegal aliens are a temporary inconvenience.
I agree withe Eleanova’s answer. They are jealous at Mexican culture.
