Hey... I'm fed up too. This is ridiculous. If you're here on vacation, fine... don't work too hard on learning English.

BUT... if you live here, LEARN THE FREAKIN LANGUAGE!

Otherwise, go back to where you came from!

I know I'm not alone on this.

Sorry, but this comment is long winded, but I have to get it out.

I keep hearing that Americans (citizens of the USA) can't speak other languages. Was my HS the only one that required a foreign language to graduate? I still remember tidbits of it and wish I knew it as I once did.

I keep hearing that Mexicans have no rights in the USA. I don't think a non-citizen in Mexico is allowed to own land on the coast without the help of a Mexican trust. Mutual respect should be a goal, but it has to come from both sides of the fence.

I keep hearing that we American's don't treat Mexican's in a humane manner. What is "humane"? It isn't the way Mexicans treat immigrants from Nicaragua. Why is the kettle calling the pot black?

I keep hearing that America stole land from Mexico. For the most part we "stole" it from the Spanish who "stole" it from native tribes who "stole" it from other native tribes.

I keep hearing that "illegal immigrants" are only here to make an honest living and harms no one. I know of someone who claims they couldn't get a job because someone with their SSN already had a job there. He claims it was an "illegal immigrant". If his words were true then he was harmed by an "illegal immigrant".

I keep hearing that Americans won't do the work "illegal immigrants" will. We are simply not allowed to. I did day-time work 30 years ago. We lined-up on the street with our papers ready to show the contractor. With all the paperwork, required benefits, and minimum wages I think the contractor made a mistake. I was too much of a burden.

Yes, you are 100 % accurate, Yesterday, I was the only white person in a business place. There were six people from Mexico that were speaking Spanish. They had two sweet little children with them. I smiled at the sweet little ones and when I did the mothers picked the children up , so as I could not see them. I tried not to think they were snubbing me, but they were . It was as if they did not even want the little ones to look at me. I don't think they could speak English.

That is if these people would really want to enjoy their freedom, besides they are latino, hispanic or spanish origin. They only use this language where they used to and want to express more in easier way. But these people also understand English but they prefer Spanish because its their primary language. So let's respect of what they want to use as long as they are not hurting others or violating any law.

sorry, but people have the right (read the constitution) to speak WHATEVER languge. There isn't an established "Ameirican Language".
You shouldn't be so close minded.

Becuase AMERICA is a free country, we are allowed to speak whetevere we want, and if people feel more confortable speaking to another person in another language they should. Why does it bother you if it's not hurting you in any way.

Typically, the Hispanic and Latino rhetoric, propaganda and mantras you so often hear will be deliberately obfuscating, duplicitous, hypocritical and dishonest! These groups wage blatant 'in your face' campaigns of disinformation by calling themselves 'immigrant advocacy groups' or 'immigrant-rights groups,' or 'human-rights advocates,' etc. They routinely call legislation that eliminates 'public benefits' for illegal aliens, as "anti-immigrant."You will notice, they never say anti-illegal immigrant. The word 'illegal' is not part of their vocabulary! Without fail, they deliberately obfuscate by using the unspecified term of 'immigrants' when we all know that the real issue is ILLEGAL immigrants.

I'm assuming you are just trying to get people's blood pumping. English isn't the language. We don't have one. It would be good for you to spend some time seeing the world and come back hopefully with a different attitude. I am glad people in Europe are not as rude to me as you probably are to Spanish speakers.
