I doubt it. I live here in Detroit and the Iraqi’s are the second biggest population in the nation here. We also have lots and lots of Mexicans here as well. They all seem to get along fine. So I seriously doubt it.
I agree with you! They claim to be prejudiced against by Americans, when they would do the same exact thing! If Americans came to Mexico and leeched off of their economy, they wouldn;t like it either. But they think they have a RIGHT to be here illegally. Pfft….

In my neighborhood there are several Syrian and Armenian immigrants. Everybody seems to get along just fine.

Mexico’s laws are very strict regarding illegal migrants. they treat people from other Latin countries was worse than we ever treat them. it’s a double standard.

i’d guess the mexicans would become pretty annoyed and actually, relatively angry. the newest immigrant is always the one most hated. the irish, who emigrated to the usa rather late, were so hated that open discrimination against irish was stated in job ads, even if an irish wanted to be a servant. the excuse was that irish drank too much.
i’ve lived among mexicans enough to know that in general they are a little racist and especially catholic. they (mexicans, that is, not talking about other latinos here) tend to get and keep a job. they would feel threatened by an islamic, new to the country, not able to speak english even, taking his job. they do not tend to like african americans either–i think that they think they all are criminals or that they will further spoil the blood of their mestisa grandchildren. they do not like that their own ancestors were killed off and that they are mestisas themselves.
religion would definitely be a factor in mexicans hating islamics. mexicans are notorously catholic and want their church to be omnipotent. they would be angry if the muslims put up a mosque. just like the jews are angry that that gorgeous mosque stands on the "temple mount" in jerusalem. it is said that if the mosque were destroyed or moved, it would be the onemost factor that would be certain to start world war III !!!
mexicans tend to try to learn english and to speak it to their children exclusively in the home. they do not want their kids to even be bilingual. i do not think they would appreciate what they would consider "confusion" put upon their kids in the form of yet another language they would have to use.

we already have in Leon a community of south korean where they speak only Korean.. they dont intergrate with us.. wich in a way so sad cause we dont get any cultural exchange.. they are just there for the bussiness.
