I’m a horror nerd, so some great Spanish language horror films are:

"Los Sin Nombre" (1999) Dir. Jaume Balagueró – Spain
"Cronos" (1993) Dir. Guillermo Del Toro – Mexico
" Al Final Del Espectro" (2006) – Dir. Juan Felipe Orozc – Columbia
"El Espinazo Del Diablo"(2001) Dir. Guillermo Del Toro – Spanish/Mexican

You can’t say Spanish cinema without saying Almodóvar. He’s almost a brand in himself. He makes these quirky movies of quirky existences and makes them horrifying and lovely at the same time. ‘Todo sobre mi madre’ is excellent, as is ‘Volver’.

    Does Mexico count?
If so ‘Como agua para chocolate’ is definitely worth watching. It is beautiful. I can’t recommend it enough.
