How many people speak spanish in mexico, and what does the rest speak?

numbers and percentage would be greatly appreciated!

  1. You should google "languages of Mexico" since it would take too much space to list the 68 nationally recognized indigenous languages here, let alone percentages. The Wikipedia article is out of date.

  2. 95%+ of the population Speaks Spanish. Only about 5% of the population speaks a language indigenous to Mexico, such as Nahuatl or Yucatec Maya.

  3. Everyone in Mexico speaks Spanish.

    There are a couple of minor Native American languages.

    And the occasional immigrant who doesn’t speak Spanish, yet, and expat, retired Americans, who don’t bother, but basically, it’s the only language that’s official, and everyone has to learn it to go to school, and everyone goes to school.
