  2. ok, how about we ask
why do americans speak english, rather than Americanese?
Europeans where the ones who settled the New World, and so brought their languages over. Since the british settled in now-aday U.S.A and most of Canada, we speak english there now. The Portuguese settled in now-aday Brazil, so the people there speak portuguese. The French settled in Quebec, so now people there speak French. Mexico was not any different. The spanish settled in mexico(and the rest of latino-america, and so the people there speak spanish.
This is why we need to learn about our history, so we can understand why some things are the way they are currently.

  3. Mexico was, for many centuries, a very important colony of Spain. The Spanish language left quite a mark on Mexico and became a central part of Mexican culture, just like English is part of American culture.

There is no such language as "Mexicanese" (just like there is no "American" language), though a number of indigenous languages are still spoken in Mexico by varying numbers of people. The most prominent of these is Nahuatl, an Uto-Aztecan language spoken by about 1.5 million people. Nahuatl was the language of the Aztec Empire, and one of Mexico’s most prominent languages before contact with Europeans in the 15th and 16th centuries.
